§ 50-1. Park hours.

  • (a)

    The hours of operation of each municipal park shall be established by the board of parks and recreation. The parks superintendent shall post the hours of operation in a conspicuous place in each park, and shall be authorized to enforce the closing of the parks by appropriate measures. He shall also be authorized to grant extensions of the closing time to the holders of park use permits for special functions as provided in this chapter.

    (b)

    The hours of operation of the municipal golf course shall be established by the board of parks and recreation, but the parks superintendent shall have the power and authority to close the municipal golf course, its grounds and roadways, to public usage after the closing hour of the municipal golf course, and to enforce such closing in the same manner as herein provided for other parks.

    (c)

    Any person in a park after the park has closed will be asked to leave. Failure to do so will be considered a violation of this chapter and is subject to penalty.
