§ 54-189. Application; fee.

  • (a)

    Before a permit is issued, application therefor shall be filed with the building commissioner. The application shall include dimensions defining the extreme height, width, and length of the structure, when mounted; the route over which it will be moved; a plot plan showing the structure in its proposed new location; and affidavits from all public utility companies, railroads, service companies, and municipal departments having facilities along the proposed route, certifying that the owner of the structure proposed for removal has deposited with the company, agency, or department satisfactory surety to cover the cost of any damage or changes in facilities resulting from the moving of the structure over the intended route. The application shall also have attached detailed plans and specifications representing the final plans of the owner for the structure once deposited in its proposed new location, which shall conform in all things with the requirements of article V of chapter 101, pertaining to property maintenance and all ordinances amendatory thereof or supplemental thereto.

    (b)

    Before the application shall be processed by the building commissioner, the applicant shall pay an application fee of $25.00 to the office of the commissioner simultaneously with its filing, together with whatever expenses may be chargeable for abstracting costs incurred in connection with the investigation by the building commissioner of the proposed new location, for restrictions, or other covenants running with the land which may affect the general welfare. These expenses shall be paid by the applicant prior to the public hearing described in section 54-190.
