§ 58-333. Use of designated parking spaces by nonhandicapped persons.

  • Any motor vehicle found parking in a space designated for handicapped parking which does not display a disabled veteran registration place or a special registration plate or placard bearing the international wheelchair symbol shall be fined $50.00 for the first 30-minute violation, and $50.00 for the second 30-minute violation. The vehicle shall be towed at the owner's expense if found to be in violation longer than one hour. If the fine issued pursuant to this section is not paid within ten days, the fine shall be increased to $75.00 for each violation not paid within ten days of its issuance.
