§ 62-103. Sewer materials.

  • The building sewer beginning two feet from any building or structure shall be of such materials as approved by the state fire prevention and building safety commission or other material as ordered by the city engineer. Joint types shall conform to the city building code. Any part of a building sewer that is located within ten feet of a water service pipe shall be constructed of ductile iron pipe within that limiting distance. Ductile iron pipe may be required by the city engineer where the building sewer is exposed to damage by tree roots. If installed in fill or unstable ground, the building sewer shall be of ductile iron pipe.
