§ 101-151. Conformance to certain codes and standards required.

  • (a)

    All installations of electrical equipment shall be reasonably safe to persons and property and in conformity with the provisions of this article and the applicable statutes of the state.

    (b)

    Conformity of installations of electrical equipment with this article and with applicable regulations set forth in the National Electrical Code, 2005 Edition and all amendments thereafter, or electrical provisions of other safety codes which have been approved by the American National Standards Institute, shall be prima facie evidence that such installations are reasonably safe to persons and property. The building commissioner or his designee shall permit trial installations of new methods of installing electrical equipment.
