§ 105-179. Menu boards.

  • Portable temporary sign displays in front of a business for the specific use of advertising that business, that are brought in/not displayed overnight. Signs may a freestanding sandwich board easel sign, or a flush mounted sign attached to the face of the building. The sign area of an individual face shall not exceed six square feet. Only one sign of this type shall be permitted per store frontage. The location of the sign shall not interfere with outward opening doors/windows, or negatively impact use of the public sidewalk or street in any way. Signs shall not be located within 15 feet of any handicapped ramp or at the corner of public streets. Any proposed sign located within the public right-of-way shall require a notice of public recognition and encroachment from the Mishawaka Board of Public Works and Safety prior to placement.
