The commercial C-8 district is designed to permit mixed use, high intensity, and/or
high rise regional commercial complexes on tracts of land in developing areas near
the intersection of major transportation arterials. Typically, this type of development
would be located near the perimeters of the municipal corporation on land that is
undeveloped or underdeveloped, and distant from existing, low-density residential
neighborhoods. Outside storage, display, or sales shall not be permitted outside of
a completely enclosed, substantially constructed and weathertight building.
