§ 2-50. Sergeant-at-arms.

  • (a)

    The sergeant-at-arms of the common council shall be the chief of police or shall be a member of the police department designated by the chief of police.

    (b)

    The sergeant-at-arms shall be responsible to the presiding officer of the common council, and shall follow the instructions of the presiding officer in maintaining order and carrying out the rules of the common council.
