§ 58-266. Parking fines.

  • (a)

    In the case of any violation of any section or provision of this chapter prohibiting or restricting parking on any public street or in any municipal parking lot, the fine for each violation shall be $10.00 if the fine is paid within five days of the date of the issuance of the parking citation, and the fine shall be $25.00 if paid more than five days after the date of issuance of the parking citation. The fine shall be paid to the city police department at the city police station, accompanied by the original or a copy of the written citation issued for the improper parking violation.

    (b)

    In the case of any parking violation for vehicles parked in a designated fire lane, the fine for each violation shall be $50.00 if the fine is paid within ten days of the date of the issuance of the parking citation, and the fine shall be $75.00 if paid more than ten days after the issuance of the parking citation. The fine shall be paid to the city police department at the city police station, accompanied by the original or a copy of the written citation issued for the improper parking violation.
