§ 58-331. Designation of handicapped parking spaces.

  • (a)

    The board of public works and safety is authorized to designate spaces for handicapped parking which is reserved for persons with physical disabilities.

    (b)

    Upon designation of a space for handicapped parking, the curb shall be painted blue and a vertical sign measuring at least 48 inches from the base of the sign shall be installed bearing the international wheel chair symbol and the words as follow:

    "HANDICAPPED PARKING ONLY

    DISABLED PLATE OR PLACARD REQUIRED

    ALL OTHERS WILL BE TOWED AWAY AT

    OWNER'S EXPENSE"

    (c)

    All angle parking spaces so designated shall be at least 13 feet wide.
