§ 105-150. On-street parking areas.

  • On-street parking areas located within public right-of-way shall be encouraged on local and service-oriented streets. On-street parking areas located within public right-of-way shall be discouraged on collector and arterial streets. Where appropriate pavement widths are provided, parking shall be limited to angled and parallel spaces. Perpendicular spaces within road right-of-way shall be discouraged. On-street parking may be prohibited by the plan commission where it deems that there could be a negative impact on public safety. Approval of on street parking may only occur with the prior consent of the city board of public works and safety.
